Q&A: Jonathan Allen

It was so surreal to me. I can't believe we just won and then it was looking on to what was next because at that point I was making the decision if I wanted to stay or if I wanted to go. I didn't have a lot of time to sit back and enjoy it because things happen fast and you had to make a quick decision.

Growing up, I'd probably say Clinton Portis (was my favorite player) because I always enjoyed him. He was a fun guy to watch on and off the field.

Well, obviously, he would always come in these costumes. I don't know what it was, he would always show up in different costumes every day of camp and it was all over ESPN, so I enjoyed that. Honestly, I just liked his running style, the way he ran the ball with the aggressiveness he played with reminded me of a defensive player running the ball.

Honestly, not one specific team. I'm just excited to be here and I'm ready to play football.

I get that question a lot and honestly, no. I mean if I had to, I would say Tom Brady just because that’s the best quarterback that ever played, but I really don't have my eyes on any quarterback. I'm just looking to go out, ball out, do my job and produce.

It wasn't bad. I was nervous, but I mean at the end of the day it's football and football's always going to be football, 100 yards long, three and a half yards wide. I felt comfortable, I felt in my natural zone and honestly just excited, more excited than anything.

Honestly, just appreciate the support. I mean the support here has been crazy. I thought Alabama was wild until I came here and these Redskins fans are probably just as crazy, if not more. I just appreciate the support. I'm going to do everything I can help this team win ball games this year.
